2009 Photo Contest Winner!
"A Wild Spirit" By Becca Severson - Wayzata HS
Preferred entries are "candids' showing team spirit and companionship between team members and their horses, and other fun shots. Take photos at club meetings, competitions, MHSEA special events, team challenges, etc. Let's share these fun times with our members and visitors to our website. It will be obvious that it's a blast to belong to MHSEA!
Photos will be judged on:
1. Quality of photograph (correct sharpness, contrast & brightness and color (not too flat or too saturated)
2. Lighting (can add drama and flatter the subject matter)
3. Composition and cropping (can make a "so-so" photo dynamite, or an otherwise otherwise "great" photo so-so)
4. Creativity (seeing and capturing a unique moment while
incorporating all of the previous 3 elements)
Pictures must be taken by High School Club team members (not parents, trainers, friends or other relatives!). Please indicate who, what, where, and when for each photo. Include your name, school, what grade you're in. Please give your photo a name.
All photos are to be submitted digitally to Laura Moran at lauramoran@usfamily.net by October 15, 2010.
The "Champion' photographer will be announced and presented with an award at the MHSEA Year-End Awards Banquet in December.
